There are several different types of lashes to choose from, including the style, shape/eye mapping, and curl option. Our experienced beauty technicians will work with you to find the best fit for your look. Choosing the right salon for your extensions and fills should be decided carefully as the process involves attaching between 80-140 single eyelashes individually, which requires experience and precision. How Long Do Eyelash Extensions Last?

Like most beauty services, lash extensions are not permanent. Because the new lashes are attached to your natural eyelashes, they will grow out and eventually fall off (the natural lash cycle is 60-90 days; most people lose about 5-10 lashes a week), but you can expect that, after your initial set, to come in for maintenance fills every 2-3 weeks. It is important to follow the proper aftercare steps to ensure your new lashes last as long as possible. You should avoid getting your eye area wet for about 6 hours after your appointment, which includes showers, swimming, and excess steam. The eyelashes are applied using adhesive, and this adhesive needs time to set properly before being exposed to water. Additionally, because your new eyelashes give you the curl and look of mascara and a curler, you won’t need to use either of these, and it is recommended that you don’t. Removing mascara can be abrasive and cause your lashes to fall out prematurely. When you come to BeautyWork for your first appointment, our beauty technicians will make you feel comfortable and welcome. The first step is an evaluation to go over everything, including any allergies or sensitivities you may have, and determine the type of eyelashes you want, including length, curl, and material. Once all of that has been determined, we can start the application process. Our beauty technicians will clean the eye area, removing any eye makeup, oil, and germs. Then we will apply gel and tape to keep your top and bottom lashes separate. Your eyes will be closed the entire time, so there’s no need to worry about anything getting in your eyes. At this point, your beauty technician will start applying each lash individually, which takes time and patience but allows you to get off your feet and relax for a few hours. Once all of the eyelashes are applied, the glue will need to dry for about 10 minutes before the tape can be removed, and voila, you’re ready to go!

How To Remove Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash extensions are applied to your natural lashes, and like the rest of our hair, they will continue to grow, and your extensions will eventually fall out on their own. It is important that you don’t try to remove them yourself by pulling them off, as this can rip out your natural lash hair and leave you with fewer lashes than when you started. If you decide extensions aren’t for you and you want them removed, our beauty technicians can handle that for you safely. We can apply an oil-based solution that will loosen up the adhesive and easily remove the extensions.
